Summary of last several months

So we left Utah around August 2010 and moved back to AZ. There is was nice to be near our families and Asher had so many cousins to play with. However, AZ wasn't working out so we moved to Bethel, AK.
Seth headed here in the middle of March 2011 after talking with his friend Cory Brian who now has lived here for over a year with his wife Angie. He convinced us that there were a lot of job opportunities here and he was right. Seth got a job working for Northern Air Cargo (NAC) and rented and apartment for us to live in. Asher and I flew in on April 21st. I just start working part time as the massage therapist for the chiropractor here.
We live across the street from a school so we take Asher to play at the playground sometimes. These pictures are a from a few weeks ago and there isn't any more snow on the ground.

4 months

Asher had his 4 month doctor appointment on Monday 6/14. He wieghed in at 15 lbs. 10 oz this puts him in the 75th percentile for his age and is 27 in. long which puts him in the 90th percentile. He is most likely going to be a tall boy : ) We started him on baby cereal and he gets a little bit at night before bedtime. His is still mastering the spoon and gets a little frustrated in between bites because the spoon doesn't deliver food as fast as mom or a bottle. I will try to put up more pics soon!

It's been awhile

So Asher is 16 weeks old now! The time goes by so fast! He learned how to roll from his back to his tummy on Sat. He rolls over and then tries to crawl. He doesn't go anywhere yet but he wants too. It is so cute to watch! He has his 4 mo doctor check up on Monday so I will try to post his new length and weight. Also he can kind of sit up when we help him. We practice this on the bed so when he tumbles over it is soft and cushy.

Asher is three weeks old today! He is growing so much! At his last doctor appointment on March 3 he weighed 8lbs 7 oz. He gained a total of 13 oz since birth in 2 weeks! He is as cute as ever and we love him soooooo much! My mom stayed with us feb 27th through March 6th. On March 4th he got to meet his great grandma and grandpa Dicou for the first time.

Asher's first bath

Today we decided it was time to give Asher his first sponge bath. He enjoyed it at first when we were washing his hair, but by the end he was ready to be done and wrapped up all cozy again! Look at his cute poofy clean hair!

Asher Alan Decker

Asher was born Feb. 17th at 9:23pm, 13 1/2 hrs after I was induced. We got to the hospital around 6:45 am that morning, got admitted and then the nurse started me on pitocin to get my labor started. Every half hour she would increase the levels and around 2 the doctor was called in to break my water. Shortly after this my contractions became increasely more powerful and close together. The anisethisiologist (don't know how to spell that) came in about half hour later and administered the epidural. Yay! Those are great! It wasn't until around 7:30 that I began pushing. After several sets of pushes my doctor told my nurse to have me stop and rest a while because Asher's heartrate was a little unsteady. When I started to push again my doctor was still finishing a c-section on another patient and I was told to stop again because Asher was almost out and I needed to wait for her. Once my doctor arrived it was only about another 20 mins of work and he was here!! So total pushing was probably about an hour or less. Not too bad. He weighed in at 7lbs 11oz measured 20.75 in long. He was sent to the NICU after they cleaned him up because he swallowed mechonium at delivery. They kept him there a few days and we were FINALLY able to bring him home Sat. 2/20/10!

Another Sunday Walk

Today we took another walk in Hobble Creek Canyon. It was a little colder this time and there was a lot more snow on the trail. The snow was actually better to walk in this time because last time there were a lot of icy patches that we had to watch for. Walking through snow also gave my legs a better workout : )

On Sunday Seth and I took a walk up Hobble Creek canyon. It was such a nice sunny day and it was beautiful out there.

I have 8 more weeks to go and I am feeling great! The baby and I are definately growing and he moves around in my belly a lot! Seth and are so excited for the little guy to be here! He is due to arrive Feb. 10, 2010.

13 weeks!

I am now 13 weeks along and am starting to get some of my appetite back. I'm still a little picky and tired though. On July 28th Seth and I went to my first doctors appointment and she said that everything looked great. We also got to hear the baby's heartbeat which was amazing.
Last weekend on Friday my mom came up from AZ to visit and it has been so fun having her here! The Sat. after she got here her whole side of the family put together a really nice 50th wedding anniversary party for my grandma and grandpa. It was great to get to see everyone and we got family pics done that day too.

WE"RE PREGNANT!!!

I know it has been forever since I have posted anything but now I promise to try to be better at this to keep everyone updated with my pregnancy. I found out for sure that I was pregnany on June 6th after taking a pregnacy and we have both been so excited ever since. I am almost 8 weeks along now and I am due Feb. 10th. The first few weeks the only side effect I had was being tired all the time. A nap was required almost everyday. Now I still get tired really easy but I also experience nausea on and off all day. Luckily, I still have not gotten to the point of throwing up and I am crossing my fingers that won't have to happen. However, almost constant nausea is pretty bad too. Nothing smells good or sounds good to eat for that matter.
Everything else is pretty much the same for us. Same jobs and same apartment.

Long Time No Post

So it has been a very long time since I have posted anything! Well, not much is new anyways. Seth is still working for Provo Canyon Schools as a courrier driver and he is loving it and I just switched to a different Aveda Salon. It is less than a 5 minute drive from my house which is awesome! Other than that not much is new. I will try to take some more pics when we get a new battery for our camera or the old one turns up somewhere!

SNOW!!

Today was the first snow of the winter. I woke up and walked out to my car and it was covered in a blanket of white fluffy snow. I was lucky it just brushed off my car easily. We are going to need to invest in an ice scraper because I'm sure it won't always brush of so nicely!

Halloween at Work

I know it's been forever since I posted anything so I took my camera to work today because we all dressed up fr Halloween. I was a biker chick. It was fun seeing everyone all dressed up and work was really slow today! That gave us all plenty of time to take pics and pass out candy to the cute little kids that were trick-or-treating around the mall. Seth didn't really go all out for Halloween this year. He just wore a t-shirt with a skull on it to work. Oh well, there's always next year!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

BIG Spider

So, Seth just came home from selling lawn aeration and brought in a huge, black, hairy tarantula with him!! It must have been someones pet because I don't think tarantulas are supposed to be crawling down the street in Springville, Utah!!!

Fishing on a Rainy Day

Today Seth and I decided to go fishing at Spanish Oaks reservoir since neither one of us had to work today. It was a little cloudy when we headed out but the weather was awesome! Once we arrived at the reservoir we noticed a bunch of clouds starting to form. In less than 20 minutes it was freezing cold, pouring rain, and hailing!!!! We ran to take cover under a little ramada and waited out the rain which lasted less than 5 minutes. Then the sun came back out and the weather was perfect again!! So we got back to fishing and caught 5 fish!! We gave the two bigger ones we caught to this group of young boys that were fishing with their grandpa. They were SO excited and literally ran back to their grandpa to show him the fish. The other fish were small so we just set them free again.
